A student-led space for neurodivergent minds at Antioch University
We believe neurodivergent students deserve more than accommodations.
We're building community, advocating for structural change, and doing it together.
Nothing about us without us.
"Accommodations get you a seat at the table.
Community lets you actually breathe there."
More than a support group
SANDs is a student-run organization for anyone who identifies as neurodivergent — ADHD, autism, dyslexia, bipolar disorder, OCD, and every variation in between. We're not here to help you cope with an institution that wasn't designed for you. We're here to change the institution.
We draw on the neurodiversity paradigm: the idea that neurological difference is variation, not deficit. And we organize around a simple principle — the students most affected by a problem are the ones best positioned to solve it.
How we show up
Nothing about us without us: Neurodivergent students lead every decision. Always.
Masks off: Stims are welcome. Silence is welcome. You don't have to perform neurotypicality here.
Confidentiality by default: What's shared in SANDs stays in SANDs. Disclosure is always your choice.
Systems, not just coping: We advocate for institutional change alongside peer support.
You belong here if...
You're formally diagnosed and looking for community beyond the disability office
You're self-identified and don't have — or want — a formal diagnosis
You're questioning whether neurodivergence is part of your story
You're an ally who wants to support structural change on campus
